As a boudoir photographer, I experience meeting women throughout all walks of life. Some have physical barriers they wish to cross before they come to my studio, and some have emotional ones. This beautiful woman walked into my studio after reading my lingerie guide, with babydolls that covered her almost entirely. They did everything BUT showcase her beauty and accentuate her wonderful features. I see this all too often with my clients, but this woman really deserved some time for herself.  When we had discussed her lingerie, she mentioned she would be purchasing some things after she sent me the images of the things she was planning on bringing. Then her whole family was sick about a week before her session, and we all know when the house is sick it traditionally falls on the woman of the house to care for everyone and get herself better as well. So, her lingerie selection stayed as is, and she walked in my studio nervous about her pieces and the whole session in general. During the session, she broke down those walls and overcame those barriers that she walked in with. It really is a beautiful and empowering thing to witness. Many women don't realize how badly they need and deserve something like this for themselves, but she left with the confidence just pouring out of her. When her album came, I could tell just how much this meant to her. Being in a professional position where her images need to stay private, I asked her permission to share her story with these specific images and she happily agreed.
